The reason why the photos taken with Kendall Jenner revolved around white horses because Stella McCartney’s Fall Winter 2023 collection was inspired by equestrianism. The theme recounts “evolution in the relationship between horses and humans,” according to the press release.

As an animal lover, Stella McCartney does not use animal-derived ingredients in her products. “The total collection is crafted from 92% vegan ingredients,” and despite the abundance of animal prints, no animal skins, feathers or fur are used – like every set. the brand’s collection since its launch in 2001.

Designer and founder Stella McCartney said that she chose Kendall Jenner for the campaign because “this season’s Stella has as much a love for horses as I do. Kendall has been riding since he was a child and has his own ranch,” she continued. “You can see how comfortable she is around these sensitive creatures, and they’re similarly comforting around her.”

Stella McCartney also asserts that the connection between Kendall Jenner and the campaign’s beauties is what brings the images to life, “both through fashion and vision”.

However, the Fall Winter 2023 advertising campaign was badly reflected by a part of Stella McCartney’s customers. Mainly because fans think that Kendall Jenner is not really an animal lover, often caught using real fur coats, snakeskin boots … so it doesn’t fit Stella McCartney’s standards.

“The exploitation of horses in the advertising campaign is an act for profit, disregarding their instincts, making them uncomfortable around lights, cameras and noise. Horses can’t have a choice to work,” one person wrote in the comments section.

Another said, “I love Stella McCartney for its mission and brand vision. But I don’t find this photo campaign suitable. Rather, this is a tribute to vulgarity and nudity,” when referring to the nude image of Kendall Jenner on horseback.

Many concurred that “Stella McCartney is promoting something that many of your customers consider cruelty to animals.”

It is unclear how Stella McCartney will respond to these comments. For the time being, the brand is constantly posting new images and has not responded to any comments on social media from these photos.
